HV appointment

We haven't had our appointment yet (no letter to say when it will be) hence the question for anyone who has had their appointment already. From seeing other posts I understand there is a questionnaire similar to the 1 year check and they then observed the children playing? Is this correct? What do they ask/observe the children doing exactly? Do they specifically ask the child to do a task(s)? Just trying to understand what's going to happen.

I heard this one is sometimes done at childcare. 🤷🏻‍♀️ We’re at 26m and haven’t heard anything yet.

Yeah there's a couple of questionnaires, they didn't ask her to do anything specific but more observed, and took note of what we said, they have a look and score it and weigh/height measurements etc - possibly each areas are different though x

Only just got our letter in the mail

You fill in a questionnaire, they give you a list of words you tick if they can say, they lay out toys, ours was a baby picnic set up and they watch them play and see how they interact with you and the toys and chat to them in a casual friendly way, hope that helps x

We had ours come today and we had to fill two questionnaires then just took notes of what we discussed and just saw her move around and interact with us but didn't test her to do anything at all. We had a lost of 50 words we had to say if she says them or not. Then she got weighed and measured and that was pretty much it :)
