It's not permanent! You've got less than 20 weeks of diabetes to go! Make a plan and celebrate every week down. It's not your fault, it's just a thing with this particular baby. Feel them flutter and kick, and forgive them for being difficult. It won't be the last time. 🤣 You've got this!
I had it when I pregnant with my twins
Had it with my first. I think it's more common than people know x
I found checking my scores a fun little game, you get to eat so much more fats and protein. It's getting colder so lots of stews and casseroles to warm you up as well, I had mine in the height of summer this year so no mocktails or any fun 😂 I'll also say that my "10lb " baby came out as a perfect 8lb little boy with no health concerns. I've also been checked since and no diabetes. It does change your labour a little bit, really not as much as i thought it would but you've got this, you've got time to work out how to adapt to the labour you want. You'll just have your sugar levels checked during labour xx
Following this post. I recently got diagnosed with GDM too :( and I’m currently 15w5d. So far I’m only on diet control and checking my BG four times a day. Can anyone with similar experience share how many weeks their baby was born.
Iv had it with my second since diagnosis at 28 weeks. Now 36 weeks. It gets easier - and you accept it more. I cried for 2 days at first but really it’s not too bad. Plus the diet has kept my weight gain in check (Iv only put on 8lbs this pregnancy compared to 2.5 stone in my first and baby is growing fine)
I had gestational diabetes starting at 13 weeks. Keep on top of checking your sugars if you end up needing insulin or metformin that's okay I was on both your sugars are not going to be stable it's going to change throughout your pregnancy especially the further along you go the less stable they're going to be it's okay that's what the doctors and the medication are there for
