Yep mine was on the phone! I'd had stitches too. Felt as tho the doc was uninterested and just ticking a box really. Like ask about x,y z...all good so move on x
Don’t feel down about not breastfeeding! I have two children. With my first my midwife put so much pressure on me to breastfeed and I felt like the worlds worse mum when I couldn’t do it. I also got comments about how my baby wouldn’t have colic if I had breastfeed 🤬 My second midwife was so lovely and said at the end day some babies don’t take to it (she said her first did and her baby just wouldn’t play ball) and there’s nothing you can do. Don’t put the pressure on yourself. It’s about you being happy, relaxed and healthy and then baby will be too. That’s bad of the doctor to make you feel like that. If you’re feeling down or want an in-person check ask for one! Get the support you want/ need! X
OMG I could have written this myself. They could have just sent a text saying “you good?” Instead because that’s how shit that appointment was. I felt so deflated afterwards. Especially because they’re so attentive during antenatal appointments. It feels like a massive let down.
If it makes you feel any better, mine was in person when my little boy had his jabs. All they did was ask me about contraception 😂 I had a c section and they didn’t check my wound which surprised me x
Mine was in person but to be honest if they hadn’t have done my baby’s check at the same time I would have been annoyed at having to come in for it as it was pretty useless appointment. I had to ask her to check my c section wound as this isn’t done as standard.
Mine was in person but was a waste of time and could have just been a phone call. They didn't check my scar (c-section) or baby, just asked me if i was worried about anything and was very pushy about contraception
@Rachel nooo! You’re kidding! How bad is that?!
Yep I was over the phone (I’d had stitches). Could you request in person? All throughout my pregnancy mine were in person so I don’t see why they’d refuse as (at least in my case) it’s the same appointment with the same people in the room, they’re just over speakerphone instead
