Idk if I have restless leg syndrome or edema but yeah my legs are super uncomfortable when going to sleep. I sleep with my legs elevated and have hubby give me a full leg massage that helps a bunch
this machines help with circulation, lymphatic drainage etc. I’d say it’s a good investment for the whole family. also look into vitamin deficiency that causes restless leg syndrome i hear taking Moringa pills is super effective for all kinds of ailments. should be safe during pregnancy since i see lots of pregnant women promote it.
Standing in solidarity - it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve slept and I’m also 32 weeks. I spoke to a friend who is a neurologist and she highly recommended I check my iron and do a full iron panel. I did and just got results back and turns out I’m extremely iron deficient and no one thought to check (even OB after weeks of complaining about RLS and how relentless it’s been). I can’t give solutions that work because I’ve tried everything and nothing has worked for me thus far. Hoping the iron IV I did and the iron supplements will help but it takes 4-8 weeks to replenish stores. Worth taking a look into iron levels!
I have the same issue. Turns out, my iron is low and taking iron supplements helps some. Also, eating bananas has really helped me since my prenatal vitamins don’t have potassium in them. Hope that helps.
Magnesium lotion. I put it on my hips and quads where the sensation is the worst. 8 Sheep Organics
My RLS is torture. I only “nap” at this point because sleep alludes me. To get temporary relief, I use my massager which has a heat setting also. The vibrations seem to do the trick for the most part. Good luck mama, I truly feel your pain 😂😭❤️
My OB recommended an over the counter magnesium supplement and making sure you’re getting enough potassium in your diet 🩷
Mine got so bad my dr put me on gabapentin
Same here. I started stretching right before bed, especially calves, thighs, lower back and butt. Then lay in bed and focus on tensing every muscle starting from feet up to the top of your head, focus on each muscle individually for about 30 seconds, release and move further up. This has really helped me. I’ve been sleeping better and less tense when I wake up too.
