I can’t make up my decisions!

My husband and I have been trying for 5 months to conceive. I gained a lot of weight this month after weaning. My nurse is calling me on Monday to discuss setting up my semaglutide schedule. I really want a second baby, but I also want to lose weight. I’m feeling more depressed about my appearance and not being pregnant. They told me to stop taking it immediately if I get pregnant — which, of course, I know! 😭 I’ve been living a healthy lifestyle and going on daily walks, but nothing seems to be working. Whats your opinions?

Have you been weighing your food incase your portion sizes are too big? I know I was eating far too big a portion before and underestimating how many calories

@Megan I don’t eat large portions. I just don’t have time make meals except my toddler. I’m basically fasting til late dinner because everyone is calming down and relax. hopefully this makes sense.

I also have held on a lot of weight after weaning. I've been working out (like really getting a sweat going) and intermittent fasting and it took 2 months to 10 lbs. Not sure if it's hormones but my breast didn't go down either

@Rebecca I guess I need to try and go to the gym that has daycare as well. I have hyperlactation so my milk will not dry out unfortunately. I did fasting for a long time. But I did the bloodwork done and they said I am very malnourished and lack of protein because I felt sick all the time.

@Rebecca intermittent fasting works crazy well for me! Helps Everything from inflammation to insomnia to weight loss. I had to start out very small with just an 8-hour fast because I had the habit of eating through the night. Take a look at what happens on a cellular level after each hour of fasting. It's cool to research Given your comment about being malnourished, Incognito,.... Yeah you have to be careful. You also don't want to exercise too much if you're fasting. And with intermittent fasting, during your eating hours, we should eat a lot of very nutrient dense foods. Ideally anyway lol Cutting calories or fasting in general I usually find I have to add protein with protein bars, Peanut butter, nuts, eggs Greek yogurt.

If you are not fueling your body properly, managing stress levels and allowing your body to feel safe, you will most likely struggle with getting pregnant or losing weight. There are a wide range of things you could be doing but it sounds like personalized coaching might work best for your current situation. For example, fasting isn't helpful for all women and if it is for you, it can be tailored to your monthly cycle to help your hormones cycle properly to allow your body to heal and feel safe.
