How did you know your toddler had a dairy intolerance?

My 1yo girl has been having white watery poos (if you can call it that) & I'm wondering if it's cuz she has cow's milk & yoghurt & eggs in her diet. It's been like this for a few weeks but it seems to be getting worse. If it's not watery, it's clay-like hard poops. Her childminder suggested we try almond/cashew milk so I'm gona buy some today.

How long has your LG been having cows milk? I went through a phase of those types of poo's, I think the transition over to cow's milk along with the 1 year jabs had her a little all over the place but she was fine after a couple of weeks. Maybe yours is having the same issue.

If she's having white poo get her checked at a Dr. White poop is often a sign of liver issues. I don't want to scare I but better to say than you not get her checked.

@Laura she's been solely on cow's milk for about a month now.. I duno if it's the yoghurts or milk, so we're stopping yoghurt for a while. I just tried her on almond milk & she didn't like it😬😕 @Louise ohh really? I thought it could be cuz of the milk & yoghurt intake 😕I'll mention it to her doctor. Thanks

I think you'd know before one because they'd have been having cows milk based formula or breast milk (assuming you ate dairy). Plus dairy in their diet from 6 months. The transition to cows milk can make their poo a bit weird for a hit but after a few weeks it goes back to normal.

This mornings one was more watery but this is basically how they've been the past week or so 😕

@Caroline that's true.. She had formula & breast milk before 1..so guess it's not that then. I've also noticed some rash around her privates/bottom. I think it must be a reaction to something we've given her recently. Just need to figure out what it could be😩

I'd say if she's had cows milk for a month it's probably not that, I mean, crazy stuff goes on in baby's systems but I'd certainly check in with the Dr with that pic see what they say, I can't remember for certain but I don't think my LG's was that pale. The rash might be coincidental. fingers crossed for a healthy poop soon!

From the pix deffo get her seen. As I say white poo isn't normal. If she had an intolerance it would go muscouslike / green for an upset tummy

I definitely agree with the comments, your daughter needs to see a doctor ASAP. Could be a very serious issue.

Thanks ladies.. I'll take her to the doctors today.

Yes that poo calls for a Dr visit that is typically a sign of liver abnormalities

Not normal poo. Also doesn't look like cmpa poo though.

If that was me I would be in a hospital right away. If your child had CMPA you probably would have already known it by now

Obviously your privacy is the most important thing but would love an update, seems like a few of us are invested in your LG health. ❤️

I mean did she have cows milk formula or didn’t have dairy when breastfeeding. It would have shown up then if it was a problem. It’s probably just from all the new foods and what not. We also had lighter color poop for a bit and it wasn’t a problem just I think sickness for a bit. But you can definitely call and ask the doctor

@Gabrielle her most recent poop after the one shown above was brown.. I called the 111 service & they had a doctor call us back & went through a series of questions, they said to keep an eye on her as there wasn't any other symptoms apart from the colour of her poop 😬😕
