Get a car! I have one, and it was very easy to get. I choose to travel the way I do, and thus I have lost my skill. I take surveys online for extra money. Look into childcare in your area. Ask for help! You never want to conquer big things on your own. Social services in your area could be a serious help to you. Never be afraid to get back to work! Create a resume and start looking! There's tons of jobs out there you just have to find the one that's right for you. Best of luck to you Mama! 🙂
@Brittany I want a car, but need the income and probably need a co signer so doing it on my own. How did you go about getting one with no job or did you have a job at the time? Thank you for the advice!
@Pam looking into childcare assistance now. Thank you for the advice!
I had a job at the time and supplemental income @incognito. I still have a job, I just have shifted my work life for my kids mostly. There's always money to be made. It just depends on what you need. I always have a job. Cars are super easy to get these days!! Most places don't do a credit check or anything like that. You can walk out with a car! I have had my car for less than 6 months! You can do it also! 😉
@incognito Do you not have support or trust anyone to watch your child? Many daycares you can just call them and see what the costs are. Most likely they will offer you something based on your income. Which could mean free child care services for you or services at little to no cost. Schools are a great way to get help, as you don't need to reach out, they will point you in the right direction.
@Brittany I wish I could find a place that doesn’t do check credit score for a car but I think an income is a must for financing if I have that correct. I don’t have anyone I trust to watch my son for a whole work shift. I also struggle with anxiety in general, but especially with leaving him with someone else which I have rarely done unless short periods. I Am looking into childcare assistance but still indecisive . He is Not potty trained and working on speech. I also do surveys but haven’t done enough to see much cash. Which do you use or recommend? I did do delivery jobs here and there but car issues kept getting in the way.
Maybe find a work from home job that allows you to keep him home? There are tons of jobs that are remote positions now. I went the network marketing route and fell in love with my job and the flexibility of what hours I worked. There is something out there for you just need to work for it
@Kim Thank you! Network marketing? I was looking at some wfh jobs to do at Night also, but training is usually during the day. Keeping my 4 year occupied will be another challenge. I know that I am in my Head a lot as I tend to do 😴
Yeah I partnered with a health and wellness company. So I work when I want and make money off my sales weekly and residual monthly and bonuses. No set hourly income so started off slow but it’s been perfect for being able to put family first. I have a few friends that do call center jobs or I believe one does uhaul from home as well. Huge range of things available but all depends on what you want/need time wise
@Kim Gotcha! Are they working with kids home? Kudos to them ❤️ 24.7 mom is not easy but I know I have to figure this out.
Ride public transportation. See if I qualify for childcare assistance. Update my resume and start applying.
