@Kiah Thankyou and how do u sort childcare do you pay for it? Because for me there would be no point in working as I’ll just be paying for nursery
If I use nursery or after school clubs etc I have to pay upfront, submit receipt costs on UC journal and they reimberse 80% on next payment date
I work part time and get support from uc. Also get money towards nursery fees. They pay up to 80% towards it
I work 16 hours a week and get nothing from UC. When I asked about this they seemed confused as to why I was asking about additional support.

I live with my parents so I don’t get housing allowance.
@Dianne oh ok if u have a partner that works they won’t give u uc just based on ur income it has to be household income
I work full time and still get rent cost covered but not much more, however I'm a single parent it may be different if you have a partner. You can do an online calculator which will give you a rough estimate
