Diarrhea for a week

So my baby has had diarrhea for about a week, she's off her food, she'll occasionally eat a bit but not like usual. She's drinking plenty of water and having her milk fine also no problems with sleep. She's mostly okay in herself. I don't wanna waste a Dr's appointment I know with adults they're not fussed as long as you stay hydrated is this the same for babys?

I asked last time we were in A&E how long babies can go without food and they said a very long time. I think if they’re having milk they’re getting nutrients. If they are weak etc they suggested little sips of apple juice for some energy.

@Jessica she's not had a day without food she's just not eating much and she normally loves her food. Tonight I made her dinner and she wouldn't touch it so I offered cereal and she had some. My son (7) was poorly last week and I'm now poorly aswell so hopefully won't last long 🤞

Me too :( our third sickness bug since July, I’m pregnant too so literally picking up everything! Hope you’re all better soon!

Ours had diarrhoea for 11 days. The drs said that diarrhoea in itself isn’t a concern, it’s only dehydration caused by the diarrhoea that causes concern. They recommended dioralyte to us after every diarrhoea and the nurse said we could use calpol as pain relief. She said to avoid ibuprofen as it’s bad for unsettling their tums

Pleaseeee watch out for dehydration my lo was having water but she ended up with hypoglycaemia and in hospital for 5 days sooooo quickly so please watch them closely xx
