Mysterious appointment?

My 20 week scan is on Tuesday, and I've had a letter for a second appointment on Friday with 'a member of the obstetrics team' and that's all it says, no indication of what the appointment is about at all. Texted my midwife and she didn't know either. Has anyone else been booked for a second appointment shortly after the 20 week scan?

I’ve got an obstetrics appt week after my 20 week scan as well, god knows what for 😂 I’m thinking it might just be at this stage of pregnancy they want you in for a check. Are you midwife & consultant led as well?

Ahhhh that would make sense! Thank you!I I am consultant led as we have some cardiac history in the family. After my 12 week scan I had an appointment with a consultant but my 12 week scan was on a Friday. So perhaps the consultants only see people on Fridays

Obstetrics is just an appointment to see how your pregnancy is going, and then you'll have staggered appointments to check in with them along the way. They can refer you to well being classes, or book you in for extra appointments and growth scans etc x

Lol so this appointment was a mistake. Turned up at the hospital, nobody knows why I'm here or why I've been sent this letter! So I'm getting my whooping cough jab and matb1 seeing as I'm here but they booked it by mistake
