@Jane thank you, its so stressful seeing our little ones go throigh these things. I spoke with 111 and they said to wake him every hour for the first 6 hours and then every two hours and theyve contacted our GP so Ill take him in first thing. I tried to get him to sleep in our bed so I can watch him but he wouldnt settle so Ive put him in his room and Ill watch him on the monitor 😣. I feel so bad because I tried to make the room as safe as possible, he was literally on his mat sitting down, I never expected him to get hurt like that! Me and my parents were all sitting next to him it was so strange 😣
Can you get a second opinion with the brain scan? Will they send you the scans?
We took photos of the scans so I will show the GP tomorrow and see what they say. We were on holiday last time when it happened
Babies hurt themselves, we hurt them and they hurt us. It’s just normal family life from moving, playing and doing our best. On top of that in this instance the doggy moved - no one could have predicted. Don’t stress on it mama. You’re doing amazingly and your response is parametric level! You’ve got this. Sounds like some sort of delayed concussions or as mentioned the shock building up. Bless him!! 🫂 Although the impact was slight the fact his reality didn’t match up to his expectations could really shocking.
@Jane yes thats so true, thank you so much. Ive been feeling so guilty and replaying it all but yes you're right there is really nothing that could have happened differently. Im pregnant at the moment too so I think the hormones and everything aren't helping and the fact that soon Ill have two little ones running around and Im already worried about that! I just love him soooo much and dont want anything bad to happen of course (same as every mamma) but we cant wrap them in cotton wool 😣. Its a good point what you said, maybe he was really confused that the dog moved/we were all looking at him and maybe he just got too stressed. He is very sensitive like if I have a big reaction to something he also panics so thats why I try so hard to keep calm
You’re doing the right thing, see what the doctors say when you see them. We actually had this with my toddler she passed out a couple times and would also stare into thin air for ages. She was checked for everything including epilepsy and seizures as her dad had epilepsy as a baby, and it’s been left as ‘probably sensory related’ as the hospital couldn’t figure out what was happening. Hope babies ok. Falls happen so don’t beat yourself up over it xx
@Danielle G oh really? How is she now? Hmm sensory related? Thats interesting, I have really bad sensory issues and OCD so maybe its genetic 🤔. I really wished he didn't have anything like that because its such a mental burden but Ill deffo help him through it more than my parents helped me if he does Thank you for sharing your experience 🙏
That is terrifying. I don’t have expertise to share but wanted to say congratulations on your quick response. This reads as a calm reaction. Glad baby is fine xx 💐
