How’s weaning going?

We started at the weekend, had carrot and breast milk puree (twice) and avocado slices. I think we’re spitting out at least as much as we’re swallowing, but my little girl seems to be really enjoying it

It’s bloody messy!! Finding broccoli in her neck roll was not the one lol Mine liked avocado too. Cougette has been a big no no

Carrots have been a big no from my little girl, but mixed with sweet potatoes, she absolutely loves them. Pears have also been a massive hit, but she can't have too many of them as it'll be all she eats. I'm starting with purees from Ella's kitchen for now.

Seems to be going good, we started on Saturday. So far he’s had sweet potato, broccoli and butternut squash (separately). I use two spoons so he likes to take the smaller one and try to feed himself 🥰 I’ve also gave him some strawberries and blueberries in one of those food dummy things which he loves!

We've been doing it for a few weeks now and it's been interesting! At first he'd spit everything out now he keeps things in his mouth and not all of it comes back out 😂 he's not hated anything yet we've tried sweet potato, carrot, pumpkin, avocado and butternut squash all with whole milk in the puree (I don't have the BM to spare 🫠) he generally seems to prefer thicker purees or the soft steamed finger foods although his favourite so far has been the bit of egg that he tried, excited to see how he goes with it again as he didn't have a reaction!

Messy and my LG’s favourite is Yorkshire pudding 😂😂

We only started last week, with puréed vegetables. Broccoli was a massive hit, carrot was not 😂 I thought she’d love apple but she found it too sharp! It’s a journey for sure x

What time of day are you giving the weaned foods? I’ve been doing dinner time as I tend to be out at classes in the day Not sure if that’s not a good time?

@Shruti I’ve been doing lunch as it’s the easiest for me and then I’ll add in breakfast…. But honestly I don’t think it really matters!
