Formula

Hey mamas! My little girl has been on Kendamil since birth, it got to the point that she was squirming and crying so much during and after feeds and spitting up quite a bit, our health visitor recommended Kendamil Comfort, we’ve been on that for nearly 2 months now and she’s still spitting up quite a bit and tensing a lot after feeds like she’s uncomfortable with her stomach. I’m starting to think Kendamil just isn’t for her, maybe it’s too rich for her stomach to digest? I’ve heard a lot of mums say this about Kendamil. Has anyone changed their little one from Kendamil Comfort to another brand of formula and seen better results? If so, what brand? Thank you!

Following as my LO is having the same issue

I use aptamil suppose to be the closest thing on the market to breast milk. My baby loves it n had no problems x

Kendamil is quite rich on babies belly if they have reflux or so doctors told me. I use SMA now. My baby was the same I moved to C&G and she got constipated then I moved to SMA and she’s been fine since.

Sometimes kendimil can be too rich for their tummies We had same issue and went to Aptimil and our little boy is so much better

My bubba has been on Hipp and we’ve had no issues whatsoever

If you don’t want to change formula brands, I suggest trying kendamil goat, but other brands are Bobbi, and similac

My baby was the same on cow and gate and Kendamil has literally changed her, I think it’s just trail and error until you find a one that suits x

We had exactly the same issue with kendamil, and their goat and comfort formulas were even worse. We spoke to a specialist who told us that kendamil is very rich as is the only brand in the UK that uses WHOLE milk as the primary ingredient. Due to this, babies can also struggle with constipation (which our daughter did). They advised us to switch to Hipp Organic and said if was feasible financially, we should ideally give her ready to feed liquid formula milk as it’s much, much easier to digest than powdered formula. We made these two changes and never had any issues since, and my daughter began having regular bowel movements about a week after these changes. Hope this helps x
