Breakfast ideas

My LO is 10 months and I am struggling with breakfast ideas we normally do some variation of wetabix or porridge throughout the week but I'm worried that it's getting boring - what are you giving your baby for breakfast??

I throw a different fruit in with the weetbix, banana, blueberries or strawberries cut up and mixed in. Some mornings may be like a fruit salad, yoghurt or even scrambled eggs and avocado.

I seen a thing on here where you can do like a Weetabix cheesecake thing which my daughter loves!! Make up your Weetabix normally then add yogurt on top and then fruit of your choice and pop in fridge over night. A few other ideas my daughter has is: •Pancakes with fruit •Sausage patties, hash brown, toast and beans •scrambled egg on toast (sometimes add avocado) •toast, yoghurt and fruit •cinnamon French toast with fruit

Main course: -Flavored oatmeal (add cinnamon, apple spice , add mashed fruit like banana, strawberry or blueberry) , -mini pancakes or French toast w/ a small drizzle of syrup. You can even add mashed fruit in pancake mixture or cinnamon to add flavor. You can use either regular mix or baby cereal for your base. -mini muffins or biscuits even bread with jelly SIDES: -eggs -Greek yogurt -mix fruit -sausage in small pieces -apple sauce -avocado These are just options to give you variety. Let your LO try different things to see what they like instead of rotating the same things sometimes their palette need a change up. If you want to keep those items in rotation use it as a smaller side for your child to get it in but change up the main course. Also you may want to try doing things that allow your baby to pick up & feed themselves. I’ve notice sometimes my baby won’t eat from my hand if he’s in a mood but as soon as I lay it down he grabs & stuffs his face lol.

Sometimes the goal should be give your LO like 2-3 different options to kind of gauge where he’s at when it comes to tasting & trying & it’ll start giving you a clear list of things to try daily so your LO is getting their meals in. & if they don’t like something the first time doesn’t mean give up on it keep trying like 2 or 3 more times afterwards . Good luck mom your doing great!
