Breast pain after gym?

I'm getting back into fitness (slowly), and have DOMS everywhere today. Wow I am sore 😂🫠 I'm 6 months PP and our baby is on my expressed breast milk. Is it normal for my boobs to hurt quite a lot? I assumed they didn't have muscle in the breast tissue... am I wrong about this? No idea why but they're agony! I wore my normal day to day bra with a sports bra over the top and was well covered/supported 🤔

If you did chest exercises then you will feel it at the top of the breasts. I currently have DOMS there from my first push day in 10 months 3 days ago 🤣... going to take awhile to get back into it I think. I wouldn't say breast tissue is particularly sore but certainly the tops. X

@Mikaila no it's the side almost underneath my boob quite deep inside. I have quite big boobs that need a lot of support and well let's just say they're not perky anymore 😂 I think I might need to invest in a better sports bra as this is the 2nd time it's happened and I'm also slightly feverish, feel sick and a bit shakey which is usually how mastitis feels for me at the beginning 😭 it's a supportive bra but too tight I think! I thought the same as you've described would be DOMS which is why I'm concerned as it seems like thr wrong place 🤔

@Mikaila oh nooo you poor thing it's so horrible isn't it. Glad you are better now. I think it is, I've had it 2 or 3 times before and feels very similar. Maybe my sports bra is too tight and I need a better fitting one. Hopefully if I keep pumping and taking ibuprofen it will go away before I need antibiotics 🫠
