@Dani a few family members have been poorly, including his 3 year old sister so I can only presume he’s caught it off someone and it’s just worse because he’s so small x
@Shannon I honestly can’t remember but I presume so. I won’t have refused it if I was offered it and I’m sure they offer it at 28 weeks? X
@Sophie it’s a very new roll out so I think I was about 38 weeks pregnant when I got it in August (Grampian Scotland) but I know all areas will have been different. I was just curious to see if the vaccine made any difference. Impossible to keep these viruses away with siblings 😢 I hope you’re home soon x
@Shannon this entire ward is an RSV ward and is full to the brim so I’m not sure if it makes any difference. There were so many babies in A&E with it too x

I’m so sorry you are going through this. My toddler had it and it gave me PTSD. To all expecting mommas there is a RSV vaccine you can take between 32-36 weeks that will protect your little one for the first 8 months. Also, before the age of one, get your baby vaccinated with the RSV vaccine!! They should be eligible, not sure if your health care covers it (mine does not) but it’s worth every penny. My now 2 year old caught it when she was only 2 weeks old and it was so traumatizing. She caught it from her older brother (He had a cold the same week she started to deteriorate). Made my ppd and ppa worse. Precious Baby Boy, I pray he gets better and for you and your family to stay strong during this time. 💙
