Feeling fed up today 😢
Been up with my toddler since 3.30 and now have to somehow get ready for a full day of teaching 🫠 I'm so exhausted and just want to hide away at my desk, not 'entertain' a group of teenagers. Why does teaching with small kids feel so impossible sometimes 😭

@Sophie thank you so much. Needed to hear this! I'm 19 weeks pregnant so no caffeine for me today but I'll try and set some independent work for my younger years. I'd give anything for a WFH job or office job today 🫣

Oh, I feel you! We’ve had a lot of early starts recently and it is tough. Remember that it’s ok not to give 100% at work every day. It’s also not your job to “entertain” the students. Get your preferred caffeinated drink, then teach whatever quality of lessons you feel able to. Prioritise the exam years. If you need to, set a cover-style lesson for the younger classes. It’s only one day. Hang in there!
