Is it just mine?

Just want to hear about your experiences...my babys dad and I aren't together but for the first 4 months he stayed me with me to 'help out' but he never actually helped so I asked him to leave. He believes that because he goes to work that means he can sleep all night and all weekend (was getting out of bed anytime between 2pm-6pm) at weekends and has told me he shouldn't have to help with feeds etc as he's working. I understand this and have NEVER asked him to do a night feed during the week but did ask him to get up when our boy gets up one day over the weekend OR do the night feed - yet he's never got up once or done any of the feeds. He also doesn't do any feeds/change his nappy during the day or once home and he doesnt play with our boy or read to him because 'he can't read so what's the point' Everything I say to him is turned into an argument and him getting defensive and I've been told that I'm 'expecting too much' from him when in reality I get nothing. He went away for a gig from Friday to Monday morning but last saw his child Thursday and went back to work this morning yet didn't make any attempt to come see him on Monday afternoon/yesterday I guess the point of this post is ... is it only me that's got a useless dad for their child or are other people experiencing the same things
