So my 13 month old started daycare yesterday and I got three pictures yesterday and I haven’t gotten any today she said he ate and slept a little. i can’t see him through any camera so I’m even more worried. It’s a man and woman a couple which is good but i don’t feel that great about having a man in childcare he also doesn’t really say hi to me. I’m just worried and idk what to do ?
My little on started daycare back in July at 14.5 months and the adjustment has been a lengthy process for us. We also don’t have the ability to monitor through a camera so we have to go by reports and photos which we receive but photos aren’t always taken on a daily basis.
I was very worried, especially at the beginning because it was so new to us and it can be difficult to trust someone else to care for a child who is your entire world. But things are slowly improving.
I’d say to listen to your gut instinct. If you lack peace of mind, keep your options open and seek out alternatives to fall back on if you will eventually need/want to take your little one out of his current daycare.
Hope that is somewhat helpful! It’s a hard transition. But you’re not alone!
Thank you my love and yes they sent me some pictures today so it did calm me down a bit and she did communicate to me what he ate
He also hasn’t cried when i left him so i guess that’s a good thing
