Advice on weaning baby 6 months old

My baby has just turned 6 months old first time mum here! I do no roughly what to do I have bought the ella's kitchen first recipe book which is amazing and tells you absolutely everything about weaning from start to finish I have everything ready like tommee tippee food blender, bowls, spoons, sieve etc but bit nervous and excited 🙈 I wanted to do some Ella's kitchen pouches instead of making stuff in blender all the time for puree but I feel a bad mum the pouches are organic and have no sugar or salt in and are made fresh as you would do yourself in blender but Just put into a pouch and you can get all the veg pouches to start on anyone else weaned there baby on pouches and they are fine I don't want my baby becoming fussy that's all

My baby is now 14 months old. We didn’t use any pouch food for them and still up till now we don’t. Baby started with the usual vegetables then moved to meats and fruits and other food groups gradually before working up to family meals. The use of pouches is an individual choice. There is no right or wrong - it’s purely up to the parent how they want to introduce solids to their little one. As you have bought everything for weaning so you may as well use it when you can as the puree texture for food is only for the first couple of months before you begin to build up texture and offer more lumpy, textured meals. You can bulk make your baby’s food and freeze it that way you aren’t making their food all the time. Regarding the pouches - look at the expiry date on the packaging. If it lasts a while I don’t think it could be considered “fresh” in comparison to food that would expire in a shorter amount of time.
