diarrhea or not?

Not sure if my LO has diarrhea, my 8 week old was having dirty nappies every other day, now it seems to be like every couple of hours maybe having 4-5 dirty nappies a day, it’s like a mustard colour and is alittle bit smelly and alittle bit watery, is this normal as his body is probably starting to mature or is it diarrhea? He is fine in himself doesn’t seem to be in any pain or discomfort, he is bottle fed and feeding at regular times, doesn’t seem dehydrated as he still has tears when he cries, was thinking of contacting the doctors but just wondered what others think

My 8 week old has at least 2 dirty nappies a day. It's mustard colour and looks like hair mousse (only way i can describe it). I can always smell when he has pooped. Have they had their injections? X

You get diarrhea with them 🤣. He's now upto about 4 or 5 dirty nappies a day that are explosive and very watery x

If he's still having wet nappies and feeding as usual no need to go to the doctors as there is nothing they can do to make it better even if it were diarrhea.. keep him well hydrated but of course seek medical advice if any red flags x

Sounds the same as mine - it’s normal I have a chart thing the health advisor gave re the look of baby poo I’m sure you can see it online but this sounds normal and I’ve noticed as they’ve got older the 💩 nappies have increased too yes.

@Maddi mine had his injections last week Weds, would the diarrhea take this long to kick in?

@Dee he had his on Tuesday and seems to be normal this morning. They said 7-14 days it can last but not all babies get it x
