I started with banana and avocado as they are soft and easy to chew and I kept adding to the list gradually. Giving it a Start is the main thing, it doesn't matter what you use - fruits or vegetables or grains.
We'll be starting in a few weeks and have decided to go with a mixed approach - BLW and purees to see if our son has a preference or not. We'll be starting with just vegetables for about 10-14 days, then introduce allergens and combined veggies and fruits, changing the texture once he seems ready for it 😁
I started with bananas! I introduced a few sweet options to start with (banana, apple, pear, sweet potato, pumpkin) so I had a good base established so if I introduced kale and she refused, I could just mix it with pear or something and she’d eat it, then with each introduction I’d introduce more kale and less pear.
I've heard that you should start with veg because they prefer the sweeter tastes and then its harder to get them to eat the veg but I'll be starting in about 6 weeks, I'm going to puree up different veg and pop it in an ice cube tray and use it as needed and then move onto fruits and allergens then introduce textures/blw when I feel he's ready
Wondering the same! With my first I started with baby rice but he wasn’t a fan so went onto homemade pureed vegetables which went well initially. Can’t remember how long after I started doing s blend of BLW purees but It went well overall so hoping to do the same with my baby
