Burping help

My NB is one month, and fomula fed. And every time I go to feed him after his feed nothing comes up and it’s worrying me. I don’t know if it’s my technique but I use different methods and still nothing? He doesn’t seem distressed afterwards though?

My little boy seems to burp better if I stand up with him over my shoulder and walk around whilst burping him. When I just sit down he doesn’t get as much up, not sure if it’s the added movement that helps and when I stand up he is straighter x

It took our girl about 3 weeks to get the hang of it! We had some rough days / nights with trapped wind but she's doing okay now xx

My boy is a month old too and we’re having the same issue in the last day or so. No distress afterwards, is farting lots and seems to let one out later on when he’s up, more alert and being moved about so I’m not too worried. Has he fallen asleep after his bottle or fussing? That usually makes getting a burp up more difficult for us, laying him down for a couple of minutes and then trying again helps too x

newborns dont always have to burp. they will sometimes silently fart instead. something that helped mine was taking a break from patting him & rubbing his back instead. newborns burp faster when they are relaxed. so walking around, swaying, singing, even a binki helps
