Clingy baby
Since starting to crawl less then a week ago, my baby has been much more clingy to me. I’m exhausted and really drained because he will hardly play and just cries to be picked up constantly or pulls himself up on me. If I move slightly away from him, he will just burst into tears and crawl to be near me.
It’s really really cute that he wants me and wants lots of cuddles because he’s never really been a cuddly baby. At the same time though, the crying and being pulled at for 14 hours a day is exhausting me 😂
Is this a phase? Any tips on how to get him to play or not be on me for the whole day ?

@Shannon I’m very glad I’m not the only one! This is exactly the same as we’re going through I can’t be a few steps away without him losing it. Nothing distracts him either 😭🫡
We are entering the 9 months separation anxiety era 😂😕😔 mine is the same started crawling 2 weeks ago now standing and she does the same that yours is doing and I'm fraid it's just getting worse. I was made aware of this era about separation anxiety and everything and it will not be easy but as everything else it should pass.

I could have actually written this exact post myself!!! I kept saying ‘she’ll be such happier when she can crawl and get herself about’ it’s literally been the complete opposite?! She now refuses to play on her mat with her toys just wants to be picked up, crawling at my feet, trying to crawl up me.. even her dad has said wow she’s suddenly got so clingy to you!! I’m hoping it’s just a phase as like you said it’s lovely but it’s exhausting!! Can’t even leave the room to grab a drink but she’s whinging or following me 😂🤦🏼♀️
