Constipated baby? Help!

I think my baby is constipated because he hasn’t had a poop since yesterday. He only had ONE poop yesterday. And he’s been so clingy and grumpy I literally could not put him down which was frustrating because he usually naps so well and I was terribly behind on homework. He’s EBF, what can I do to help him besides tummy massages, gripe water, and bicycles?

Breastfed babies can go 7-10 days without pooping! And it’s very normal, he could be going through a leap causing him to need more comfort but him not pooping for one day definitely isn’t a cause for concern!

As long as he isn’t straining it’s okay. He may have alot of gas he doesn’t quite know how to get out. If he’s farting frequently he should be fine if not My doctor recommended the windi gas passers by Frida baby.

Thank you!!

My baby was super constipated from changing formula. We did the fart exercises that help push out gas and it helped with his constipation.

I replied and saw you’ve been doing the bicycles lol.. umm, time honestly has helped us usually take a couple days. I’m EBF and it’s been an issue too.. I believe they are developing still so it’s just a part of the process…

my ped said it’s normal for babies to go 3-5 days without pooping

My baby had the same problem when she was 1 month. We found out her body just didn't like the formula she was on! We switched from Similac 360 to Similac Advance and we also put a little less formula in the water and she IMMEDIATELY did so much better. Also, some babies just don't poop every day. Mine does every 1-2 days, which was completely fine with the pediatrician. Something to consider!
