@Laura He only 8 he very typical tween he acts like old man some days 😂 I’ve tryed sorting out at jewellers but they couldn’t do anything x
Why don’t you suggest selling the watch and then getting him a different one. He may just be upset that the gift he wanted doesn’t fit properly. It’s hard when they a snappy with you though
@Mel I really try the best to fix went three jewellers I’m not spending over 50 quid again for a watch x
No I understand but if you were to sell the watch you did buy originally and put that money towards the new watch it wouldn’t feel like such a waste? Xx
@Mel Id have to ask his mum for watch back I don’t personally want to take off him it was a lovely gift x
It sounds like he gave a reasonable explanation for why the watch isnt right for him. I dont think you to be upset really though if you are - feelings are always valid. He is however 8 and isnt always going to have the right words to answer with thoughtful precision. You could buy him a much cheaper watch to keep him going before the more expensive one fits. You can pick up a kids watch for £15, then he has the fancier one ready for when it fits properly.
@Mil Oh i know this I spoke to my partner about it last night but atm im really ill with my mental health that hasn’t help with properly way feeling at that time. I get it he 8 years old he trying to tell us what he wanted which is fair enough.
He’s just being a typical entitled teen (is he that age?) or tween! Don’t take it to heart. Is there a solution to getting the strap altered on his birthday watch? Xx
