Also, our babies are only 9/10 months old. They’re still learning what it means to eat. Don’t be upset with yourself, especially with those BLW parents who brag about their 8 month old eating a 3 course meal lmao. A babies main source of food remains milk until otherwise. Do you use a straw cup? With foods like puffs, sometimes they need a little water to wash it down. I also second only 1-2 pieces at a time. My baby gagged and vomited because he put like 4 pieces of pancake in his mouth at once and then couldn’t chew. With foods like pasta, I also read they need sauce to prevent gagging. The gagging has honestly gotten worse now that we’re doing bite sized pieces and it gives me so much anxiety but I just keep in mind that if they don’t practice, they don’t learn.
Sometimes I only give my baby one piece at a time because she gets excited. That way a baby can learn the concept of chewing and swallowing
