WRITING = play-doh, large body movements, digging in the sand, crafts, drawing in sand/salt, finger painting, coloring. This is an excellent post with recommendations from an occupational therapist on what to do instead of writing with children under 7. https://www.facebook.com/neurochildHQ/posts/959780274480083
Learning Cursive with the Hobbit - you can get it from Amazon.
Use a white board & pre write whatever you please, have your kids take a Pom Pom or a q-tip and “trace erase” the pre written stuff! Helps take the pressure off the kids brain of putting out incorrect or bad looking writing & helps build muscle memory for writing & also their grip & form of holding a pen or pencil
Tracing but with the embossed pads. At 7 though I wouldn't stress too much about it. It gets better in time
