Definitely recommend YouTube, my husband knew how to knit so started me off but I found watching a few different YouTube videos really helped đ
I agree with YouTube, I read many beginner books and the only thing that ended up teaching me was copying someone knitting on the slowest setting on YouTube.
I was gifted a book called "You Will Be Able To Knit By The End Of This Book." It's brilliant and even though I'm now what I'd call a good intermediate knitter I still go back to it when I'm stuck. It's such a lovely hobby! Good luck! X
