I second the old school vacuums we have the Hetty, it’s 9years old and going strong. We also had a handheld dyson it lasted 3 years and now have a shark, but in my opinion, they are convenient for a quick hoover in the bathroom or kitchen, they dnt really compare in terms of how well they are on carpets.
LOVE my Dyson. I have cream carpets throughout my house with a messy toddler and cat that sheds like no tomorrow. Expensive, but worth it in my book. The best ones are the corded ones, but that’s so much hassle!
We have the shark lift away, it’s really good!

Our old Dyson died so we got the Dyson V11 and I love it :)
I love my dyson, we have the cordless v15 and it's so great just to be able to go round each room and quickly vacuum without having to move the plug about too
Bissell Powerlifter. We have a super shedder dog and this vacuum eats all his hair
I have a little Henry it’s the best for proper cleans and carpets etc. But I just got myself a cordless shark which is amazing for just wizzing round quickly after my little one has eaten and dropped crumbs everywhere. X
Dyson all the way for me. Fuck bending over with those Henry style ones lol
I do love my Shark. However I will say that old school vacuums that need the bags are the best! It’s just such a faff!
