@Shay apart from chocolate animal biscuits not really! It’s now day 13 🙃 it is so frustrating
Just keep offering food as normal and maybe offer what your eating from your plate? We're the same currently from a stomach infection x
You know what, I remember when my son was about 7 months, he went from being a great eater to suddenly not eating a single thing! He started weaning at 5.5 months and there wasn’t anything he didn’t like! When he hit 7 months he turned his nose up to everything it was frustrating! He went straight back to exclusively breastfeeding but regardless I still put him I. His high chair, served his breakfast and dinner, picked up everything he threw on the floor day after day, month after month. He wasn’t sick, wasn’t teething, nothing, I just had to keep up the same routine so when he was ready, he could start again. It took about 2 month of him just drinking milk again for him to start eating and he never ate quite the same and has been a fussy eater since! So I’d say, still serve up his meals just to keep the routine and so he knows when he is ready, it will be there waiting. Give him his animal biscuits after trying the meals (so he doesn’t think he will get them anyway), persevere.
Is there anything he will eat at all? If so then just keep giving that item. I don’t think it’s the start of picky eating but when they have any sickness there are so many things that can play a part. They may have a loss of appetite, sense of smell and taste. They can become adverse to textures or even be nauseous. I think the best thing to do is offer whatever they will have and keep trying. He will get back to normal again but while he is still actively sick he may keep refusing unfortunately. Just make sure he stays hydrated.
