Fussy toddler

Hi all, my 20 month old toddler is being extremely fussy with eating at the moment & it’s really worrying me. He seems to go through phases where he will actually eat really well, but that phase unfortunately doesn’t last long & it’s like we go back to square 1 where he just won’t touch anything! I try so many different foods and do my best to encourage him but he has none of it. He refuses to touch any kind of fruit, he used to eat bananas but now wont, he’ll chew on a blueberry for a split second and spit it straight back out, I’ve tried everything! He will literally go a whole day barely touching food, I’ll even leave snacks on the table for him to pick at when he’s playing, and he doesn’t even touch it. I feel as soon as my son hit 18/19 months he started to really play up and become fussy. Is this just a stage do you think? Or do you think it could be something else? It’s been going on for quite a while now and I feel completely lost. Not sure whether to speak to the doctor😞

My 2 & a half year old is exactly the same with fruit. He used to eat bananas & and melon, but now will only eat some melon, maybe once a month if I'm lucky. He's really good at eating vegetables, though, so I'm not too worried about him not eating fruit. It's a phase they all go through x

@Rachel it’s really frustrating isn’t it! I’m just super worried as recently he’s not been eating much at all. He will go a whole day barely eating and it makes me so upset. Today he’s barley eaten and right now he’s in his highchair with a roast dinner in front of him but isn’t touching a thing:( x

My little boy won't eat chicken, so when I do a chicken casserole, he has vegetable soup. Yesterday he hardly ate anything. I know it's a worry, but as long as they have plenty of fluids, that's the main thing x
