Meal alternative

I don’t offer an alternative if my LO doesn’t eat what I give or much of it, I just end the meal. Is that bad? I usually offer a main with veggies / one or two other things so he will pick and rarely refuse everything but for example today he just ate the veggies and only 2 tbsp of the chicken and rice. I’m not offering anything else

I don’t offer anything else but might try my LO with crackers and cheese or something like that a short time after but no I don’t offer a completely different meal

Thats what i do. Shes always been a good eater but the last 4 weeks has stopped. She will eat a spoon then say all done. Rather than make alternatives or fight for her to eat some i get her down and Ive been bringing the plate into the living room and shes been coming and eating it while playing / watching tv

@Jess that's a good idea taking in to the living room. I'm going to try that as my boy is hardly eating atm.

With our eldest we’ve always offered the meal or if he doesn’t eat the can have some toast so he’s not hungry going to bed. So far not had much h fussiness form the toddler but we’ll probably stick to the same. Think it’s about finding what works for your family, no right or wrong.
