Need advice!!!

So I am 32 weeks pregnant and at 36 weeks my OB is recommending I do a stress test due to my age and make sure the baby is good but Idk how to feel about that, I heard and read that wave frequency can impact the child?? They will put a monitor on my belly to monitor fetal movement me I don't want my unborn child already being exposed to that. Have you done it? What are the risks? Is it safe for the baby?

I had to do them once a week at the end with my last pregnancy bc I was high risk. Had a completely healthy baby, no issues.

@Amanda I don't think I am a high risk, my BP has been good, babys heart rate was good, except I'll be 35 so they recommended I do one.

An actual stress test or a fetal stress test? There's a HUGE difference and depending on which one, I can see why they want it. I had a fetal stress test at 36 weeks and every week after... They made it seem as if it was normal.

I just had my 6th baby 2 weeks ago. I'm 36 years old. The only time I had stress monitoring is at 41 weeks. Just to make sure all was good with baby. That's really weird to me to do them that often and before due date, if you're not high risk. I'm obviously not a Dr. But it's still weird to me.

If OB is recommending stress test I would do it. It is better to be safe than sorry. It is the best to share concerns with your doctor! I did not have a stress test but did something similar earlier as I was high risk and no I do not think this brings anything negative, my son was fine and healthy.
