Have you ever caught HFM from your baby?

So my baby had the first symptoms of HFM on the 28th October, symptoms lasted until the Friday 1st November. Last Sunday my tongue started to become a little sore, by Tuesday my whole mouth was extremely sore even to swallow. It’s now Friday and my tongue is still super sore and almost feels like it fizzes when I press my tongue to the roof of my mouth… could this be a delayed HFM? It’s so painful and really hurts to eat or drink and tbh, even swallow sometimes as my tongue is just so sore.

My husband and I both caught it from our little one. On day 4 of my littles symptoms, I started showing symptoms and two days later my husband did also x

I got it around 4-5 days after my boy started showing symptoms

Yep, this is exactly what happened to me! It went after about a week and painkillers helped. Hope you feel better soon x

Hey weird you’re saying this.. I was thinking the same. My girl didn’t have obvious HFM symptoms - more slight rash everywhere and fever. Then I got sore throat and pain in my tongue - felt as if it was burnt and it was red on edges. Lasted over a week - I assumed it maybe was Covid tongue! I didn’t have any obvious spots there so thought it’s not hfm x

I think I may have currently caught it from my little one! She was poorly with cold symptoms, conjunctivitis and rashes but not really any that blistered. Now I have a sore throat, an ulcer in my mouth and a very painful ear 🫠
