@Chloe I’ve got pregnant twice on injectables (one with my daughter, another MC). I’ve had two more cycles since my MC and the clinic have said to stop with injectables as statistically the chances are now very low. In older ladies who can’t have ivf (low follicle count) they recommend milder stims to allow for better egg maturity rather than blasting them. I’ve done some rounds with high dose injectables and no success. Slow protocols have been my two successes. So oral drugs seem a good avenue. I just want the drugs and to see what happens without expensive scans. What is the drug protocol on letrozole? How much/often do you have it? Thank you so much for replying. When do you start your transfer? 🙏🏼😍
@Yog its absolutely worth a try as everyone reacts differently. But I went into it not knowing that it could have the opposite affect 🤣 I was on 2.5mg letrozle taken cd3 to cd7 and then bloods and scan cd10 I know some people don't do monitoring and that would be up to your clinic. I have been on 5mg too and that also was hit and miss haha. I have my second transfer next Friday. ✨️🤞
We spent years TTC and managed to conceive my first cycle with letrozole so I’m a big fan. I took it days 2-6 and using an OPK I saw the biggest peak I’d ever achieved for me. I’m not sure if it played a role but started taking progesterone pessaries at 3DPO and got a positive test at 9DPO. I had minimal scans and monitoring due to it being over our wedding and I wonder if this helped limit the stress too? Sending you all the best wishes for whatever you decide to do 🤍🤍
@Chloe oh Friday is so exciting! Please let us know how you get on! Maybe I cold do one cycle monitored and then see if they will allow a non-monitored one whilst I’m overseas… I’ll see!
@Georgia love your story! Congratulations! I’m a bit older and they say that milder, longer protocols help and at the moment on injectable my follicles are growing mega fast which I think is too quick. Oral is an exciting alternative before we accept we’ve ran out of options. I have one more cycle left doing what I’m doing so if it fails, I have a backup plan which at least takes the pressure off! Xx
@Yog I hope this one works for you but if not that this approach helps too 🤍 please keep us updated, you’re in my thoughts
@Georgia thank you so much xx
Hey. I did letrozole for a few months, I was monitored though and always had multiple maturing follicles on the cycles that worked. I ovulate on my own and had cycles were I didn't ovulate at all on letrozole. It was very hit and miss for me. Low dose stims worked better. I never got pregnant on letrozole either. Now doing IVF. Good luck ✨️
