Baby doesn’t like being near his dad
Does anyone else’s baby not like being left with their dad? I know they have preferences but whenever I leave the room he’s in hysterics and it’s quite upsetting for both of us. Is this normal?

@Yasmin is there anything that you did to encourage it to stop? This has gone on a while now x
No just followed babies lead so we didn’t force him to go to dad if he didn’t want to. Dad played lots with him/ tried to interact in a low pressure way while I was around and I also made sure he got plenty of my attention so his ‘mum cup’ was filled and he’d be more likely to get bored of me and want dad. It’s really tough and I felt bad for my partner but it is likely just a difficult phase. Now ironically he’s in a phase where he’s all for his dad except at bedtime then it can only be me x
Currently going through this too. My daughter will be fine with her dad until I leave the room!

We went through a phase of this, he wouldn’t even let his dad hold him he’d thrash and scream until he gave him back to me. Luckily it passed as soon as it came x
