Early Intervention

Anyone else’s LO qualify for early intervention? Any tips on what to expect? The evaluation process was a little brutal.

We did it. The evaluation I felt was rough especially having twins. But we found a lot of great therapist. It was also great to see the kids work with someone else. And at least with my kids you can tell what they work on in therapy. I have 2 year old twins. One receives dt,ot,pt, speech, nutritionist. The other one receives Dt, ot, speech nutritionist.

@Ann my daughter will be getting speech, OT, and DT. My son will be reassessed for OT in 3-6 months. Right now they’re telling me it’s easier to get virtual therapy than in person. Do you guys do that?

I made the choice to drive them to the clinic. That was an option. I have found that it is really hard to get people to my house. (We live in a smaller town right outside a big city) We did a phone evaluation and I didn’t enjoy that experience. So I told our service coordinator that we would drive. But there are huge waitlists. Which I hate. I also follow some of the dt, ot and speech people on tiktok and buy toys similar to that and what they bring to the house. And then help model the play which has been huge. I feel like

@Ann do you mind sharing who you follow on TikTok?

@Ann thank you!
