@Hannah Thankyou this is really great advice! I will look into it and hopefully can find someone nearby that can help with this xx
My 1st is 5 I got it with him I also got it with this baby. I healed it a bit a few month ago. You have to be so carful as it can go apart you need to build strength in your core first. Leg raises and learning to engage your core and breathing will help also get the tape from amazon for when you do the workouts just a little extra help but really find someone who nos what they are doing as a lot don't. A lot of great YouTube videos can show you some great ones to strengthen for DR x
@Lena can I ask if yours was fully healed by the time you had your second? We know we want a second but this also puts me off as I’ve heard it could cause more problems during the birth / positioning of baby. Thanks for your advice I will definitely try what you’ve suggested 😊
No it wasn't. I stopped doing the workouts so it was about a 2 gap but never made any difference to my pregnancy. I actually ended up having extra water so my bump was huge just remember to roll onto your side to get up from laying down. You can get a band to help in pregnancy as well as the tape to stop your abs from separating more. It dosnt affect anything in pregnancy or labour just means you will more than likely have it again but you can do pregnancy DR workouts to help prevent it as well x
Hey, I had my LG in may 23 also. I can't relate to having the separation as I didn't get it myself however, I'm a Pilates instructor and have many clients that come to me with this issue. If it's something you would be willing to try, go and find a Pilates instructor and let them know what you are experiencing. Added points if they are pre and post pregnancy certified as they will have a deeper knowledge but most instructors know how to begin to tackle this. Depending on how wide your separation is will depend on how to go about reducing the gap but it is something that, with time, can be sorted.
