Separation anxiety…

So my little one has recently been crying in the morning I when I leave for work or even when I go to the toilet, bearing in mind I have been back to work for over a year now and it’s the first time he’s actually been upset that I have to leave him, up until a few weeks ago, my MIL looks after him whilst am at work and I know they have a good bond. He also won’t let his Dad put him to bed. Just wondering if anyone else’s one has been the same is this normal at this age?

We're going through something similar, and it's quite exhausting. She doesn't let her dad do anything now, it's all 'mama, mama.' Bedtime is also terrible. Previously, I could just leave her and she would fall asleep, but now I have to sit next to her or she cries uncontrollably.

@Anett it is yeah, he’s not normally like this it’s nice but at the same time I feel like I never get a break. Mine comes in our bed until he falls asleep then I take him in his cot, but he won’t lie with my boyfriend anymore for some reason x

We went through this a few months ago and it has passed. She would say no whenever my other half came close or if she wanted me, but it didn’t last luckily! She won’t accept him for bed, but she never has!

@Xanthe ah I see, mine will let his Dad close but if he’s upset for some reason he wants me, yeah I think it’s because I mainly do bedtime so that could be why.
