Losing the will to live đź«

Any one else's two year old just turned into the devil recently??? My son's not always been an angel but he has never been this bad and I don't know what's going on! He started going to a childminder a few months ago and I keep telling myself maybe he's learning this behaviour but then he wasn't like this when he first started going there. We're having tantrums for like 60/70% of the day and it's stressing me out! He's constantly screaming or shouting for me even if I'm right next to him, he's now hitting out which is driving me mad. It's embarrassing because he's usually so good but every time we're out I get the comments of "oh I don't know how you do it", "how are you not pulling your hair out" from family members, (really bloody winds me up) because he's not always like it and hasn't ever been this bad!! I don't know what to do with him, please tell me it's not just us going through this and it's short lived because I'm about to lose the plot đź« đź« đź«

I'm reading Good Inside by Dr Becky Kennedy at the moment which is helping us have strategies for dealing with tantrums and boundary testing. I felt completely overwhelmed by it all, but there are some strategies in that book which can help. You're definitely not alone.

I'm just finding it really upsetting atm and sometimes I feel like I've aided in his behaviour because of my anxieties since having him. I've got no one to vent to like I would have before, I'm finding it very lonely x

The premise of the book is that you and your child are both "good inside" and you're both just navigating each others emotions. It's very easy to be hard on yourself but tantrums are completely developmentally normal. Would recommend giving it a read

I'll have a look, thank you X
