LO started using the potty

My LO just started using the potty for about a week now. I still can't believe it, he is almost 7 months old.

How did you introduce it? I honestly thought about giving it a go, because poops are horrendous now But he always poop either first thing in the morning, before I barely opened my eyes, or during meals 😅 I just don’t think I will manage to undress him quick enough

Well done! Starting food has firmly thrown us off using the potty but we’ll get back to it

What 🤣 you must have a very advanced baby

@Kierrah You’re sending me this why ?

“Potty learning means helping your child use a potty or toilet as part of their overall learning. Most parents find a good time to start helping their child learn potty skills is from the time they can sit up, usually around 6 - 9 months.”

@Kierrah No problem. 🤣 thanks for the info👍🏼

@Kate I started as soon as he started to seat at 4 months. But he refused it and would rather not go at all. I stopped and tried again at 5 months, and it was the same response. At six months and 2 weeks, I tried one more time and this time, he used it gladly and has been using it every time then For how I know when to put him on the potty.. I noticed he first farts for about three times and then keeps a poopy face, then I try to distract him by saying "wait" or talking to him. Then quickly undress him and sit him down, and within 3 mins or less, it's done. I got the potty training wipes so that I could easily flush. It takes dedication though as sometimes I have to wake up very early because he wants to go. But I figured if I can get it right now, it will save me the trouble of doing it when he is older and tbh I am enjoying it. Additionally, I make sure I give him two thumbs up with a "good boy" and smiley face after every successful evacuation 😂.
