?? I didn’t say that. He’s also out almost everyday all I asked was to him feed her before bed because I’m the one that gets up at 5 am everyday. Am I not allowed to sleep more than 4 hours at a time
But you’ve not put that in your post? Your post insinuates he went out once for a day and night not that this is a regular occurrence. Thats quite a big bit of information that’s completely changes the situation.
@ElenaWho cares if that was what she was saying? She was feeling frustrated and she went to a safe place to vent. Even if he did have one night responsibility as a father doesn’t change. He said he would do a dream feed he should
I’ve struggled with this too. My husband is amazing with our son, but he is still getting the hang of it and is always saying if he forgets something, I will/have to pick up the slack. I think the point she is making is that even if he goes out one night, he should still make sure his responsibility in helping with their newborn is taken care of. A baby can’t communicate or do anything in their own and doesn’t understand if we miss something. It’s important to note that. His responsibility is to his family first, not going out and then “forgetting.” To me that is irresponsible and unacceptable, especially when we do everything 24/7 for our kids. You can totally be mad and vent. But I do think you need to calmly talk to him and say he needs to make the effort not to forget, and also make sure he reciprocates if you want a night out too (or even a night to yourself for self care/early bedtime).
This whole post was about venting in the moment. Some of you get it and I appreciate that ❤️. He woke up with her when she got up at 5am changed her diaper and played with her until she went back to sleep. He’s also home all day today so he will be doing most of the caring so I get a break.
Is he not allowed a day/night out?
