Toddler climbing out of crib

My little one is 14 months old and is already climbing out of the crib! Any tips or suggestions?! Is it too soon to transition to a toddler bed?

You can do a floor bed unless you can put the mattress even lower. You could do a toddler bed if you wanted but I’d suggest a floor bed. They’re great and it give the kids freedom that they want and will help with independence

I feel like if the mattress is all the way at the lowest setting it should be very difficulty to climb out of the crib at this age! I would double check the crib settings to see if the mattress can be moved down anymore

Are they in a sleep sack? I found it pretty much impossible for my oldest to climb out in a sleep sack on the lowest setting. If you do a floor bed make sure the mattress isn’t directly on the floor as that can cause issues such as mold. Most things I’ve read say the longer you can keep them in the crib the better even up to 3 years old. But a lot of people do it sooner than that.
