Baby’s hemoglobin low

Just had a one year checkup and they did a fingerprint and her hemoglobin levels were lower than they wanted (8.8). Has anybody else had this happen with their baby and it turns out it’s something totally benign? I’m hopeful it’s just low iron and I can fix that with diet or supplements but Google is scaring me with the big C. Also, any advice for blood draws for a baby? The doctor wants to recheck her levels with a proper blood draws instead of another finger prick
