Baby Bottles have become a comforter 😓

We used the baby bottles up until 20 months and then switched to straw bottles to help avoid issues with teeth later on. Since doing this, my little one refuses to drink milk out of it. Should I carry on using the bottle with the teats or keep trying with the open cup/straw bottles?

He has a varied diet and I like to offer milk as a drink in the morning and evening and don't really want to drop it completely

We still use a mam baby bottle for bedtime milk. He has any drinks throughout the day in a straw bottle. 1 bottle a day won’t do any harm xx

Ours won't take milk unless it's in a mam bottle, and won't go to sleep unless she has milk. So a complete catch 22!

Mines completely the same! Morning milk and bedtime milk in a tommee tippee and will refuse anything other than that! She’ll have water throughout the day out of anything but milk has to be the bottle

@Kiera thank you 😊 xx

@Laura that is a complete catch 22! Do you think you will carry on with the mam bottle until she just decides one day she doesn't want it anymore? Xx

@Rhiannon definitely a comfort thing isn't it! What age did you try wean her away from the bottle? Xx

My LO still has morning milk in a mam bottle, mainly drinks out of an open cup or straw cup, sometimes I the day will ask for his cup to have milk in it but the morning one always has tp be mam! Tried so many diff ones but he jjst will not accept another one first thing for milk lol

I haven’t tried to wean mine! She’s now 25 months old and I don’t see the point, it’s her comfort and makes her happy! It’s only baby teeth and I highly doubt she’ll want to still drink from a babies bottle when her adult teeth start coming in 😂 Maybe it’s the lazy way of thinking but why try to fix something that isn’t broken/ an issue xx
