Test sizes

My daughter has just turned 8 weeks old and we use mam bottles. She is still currently in size 0. When do I need to change her teats? She’s been struggling alot with wind and the HV is that if she’s dribbling lots of milk she’s not ready. This is still the cause she dribbles a lot of milk but not like before. She takes between 10-20 mins to finish her bottles. What are some signs to look for? When do I move her to size 1? She is still very small and still wearing some tiny baby clothes does her size matter for the teat size?

My little boy is 10 weeks old and has only just moved onto size 1 teats, signs I noticed was taking a while to finish a bottle around 20-30 minutes and was sucking hard to get the milk and also falling asleep during feeding, I changed him to size 1 a few weeks ago and he kept coughing/choking so moved back to 0 but he’s finally ready now for size 1 xx

Thank you so much, yeah we accidentally had a size 1 when she moved up to a bigger bottle and she literally was choking on it and then was sick absolutely everywhere. That’s reassuring to know there’s other babies at her age on size 0. Our HV at one point asked if there was another test slower than what we had as she was familiar with the mam bottle but she seems so settled and chilled on 0 xx

My baby is 16 weeks and still on first size tommee tippee teats because otherwise she spits so much out! It’s different for all babies. The main signs are as Grace mentioned above ☺️

@Sophie I was exactly same, I thought he should of been on a bigger teat but he wasn’t ready then but he is now, he is small too xx
