No heart beat

Hi all Today, I had my first early scan. I just wanted to make sure everything was okay. Unfortunately, to our surprise, the baby doesn’t have a heartbeat. I’m devastated. This is my first time going through this. I already have a son, who is 19 months old. Has anyone gone through something similar? How long did it take you to get pregnant again (after the procedure of expelling the fetus, etc.)? How did you handle this grief and pain? I just want to cry. Thank you

Oi Fernanda 👋🏿 I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending you love and hugs. Please let yourself cry this is a real grief and it has to be felt. My loss is slightly different but it’s best to go through all your emotions which are valid and then of course try again if you are ready. Pregnancy after a loss can also be a bit difficult. I think it’s important to reach out to charities and resources where you can openly express yourself. Miscarriage association or Tommys are really good

so sorry for your loss! It’s an absolutely devastating experience. My first pregnancy at my first scan at 9 weeks we found the baby had stopped developing at 6 weeks with no heartbeat. My OBGYN informed us we had a missed miscarriage/ abortion. I had a D&C operation the following week. I needed a little time to grieve, So I waited two months before we started trying again and it took 2 cycles for me to get pregnant again. My son is now 13 months and I am obsessed with him. One positive thing from my miscarriage is I was so grateful during my pregnancy with my son and even through the tough times I feel it made me more positive outlook on life.

I had a missed miscarriage last year. I should have been 13 weeks but there was no heartbeat and baby had stopped growing at 9 weeks. It was heartbreaking, especially as we’d had an early scan at 7 weeks and everything was fine. I had a D&C a few days later. That was in the June, and I was probably ready to start trying again in the January but I was starting a new job in the Easter so we waited until September (I’m now 13 weeks)

So sorry 😔
