That’s strange, my midwife told me if there was any areas of concern I’d have been told on the day I had my scan done before I even left the building. Are you high risk by any chance? Possibly be because of that?
Possibly yes due to some family history, but I'd been told about potential extra scans at 32 and 36 weeks, not 26 weeks.
Yeah reach out to your midwife and see what she says, try not to worry 💕
Check your maternity notes. There will be the information about your last scan and the measurements (head circumference, height, etc.) You can look up online what’s the normal range for 20-week fetus. Possibly baby is measuring smaller than average. This happened to my SIL, the baby was actually normal size in the end but they booked her for growth scans several times because her bump was measuring smaller than expected. Or quicker option is asking your midwife. I myself been booked wrongly for some testing and when I asked why, it turned out they mixed up my ethnicity and thought I need it (I didn’t).
My notes are all paper and they didn't make any at the scan. I was told he was measuring exactly average for all and a week ahead for his legs. I've texted my midwife so will see!
I have been booked for growth scans, however I was informed at my booking appointment and 16 week consultant appointment that these would be scheduled. Might be worth if you can reaching out to your midwife see if she knows more if wasn’t something you was expecting ☺️ x
