F*ck me I hope this is a phase and not just "age 3"

I'm in such a bad mood right now purely because of the attitude and number of "NO"s I've had to deal with today. And the rude demands. And the refusal to do anything. The latest comment that has pushed me to vent on here being "when's dinner?" "Not for a while yet that's why you've got your snack" "I don't want it put it in the bin!!!!!!!" ...like, where's this rude little person come from?! Plainnnnn ruuuuude I don't understand why, it's like it has come out of nowhere. But the general vibe today/recently is just shouty demanding the opposite of what she's got or the opposite of what we're doing, refusing to go to bed... but so angrily! Everything is said with such venom and it triggers me! I think on the whole I'm doing a pretty good job staying calm and not losing it, handling it as well as you can really, but inside so much frustration is building! Anyone else?!

Yes same here although she’s been the same since she was 2.5 😩 x

Mate 3 going on 13 ain’t they 😭😭

My favourite at the moment is "No you tidy up mummy!" And full on stomped her foot, crossed her arms and gave me an evil powt. I nearly got the bin and put them all in there until I remembered she's 3 and I'm supposed to be an adult 🤣

We are going through the same with the rude demands and refusing to do anything without a fight! I thought it was him picking things up from other children in preschool but seeing this I wonder if it’s a phase!

Bless you, little girls can go from skipping in the meadow to mowing the cat in seconds - I used to nanny for Satan and her sister, it was awful - all of a sudden it gets easier but your daughter was sent to try your patience and show you a whole new level of defiance. You can get through this, punch a pillow, smash an ugly cup outside where no walks shoeless, drink a big cocktail out of a bucket after she’s in bed, whatever gets you through 💪🤍

Yeaaah 3 is fun so far for me too 😩 I feel like I'm constantly saying don't do that, stop, no etc then I feel so bad that I've just been on at him all day 😭

I’ve definitely found that when I’m less attentive to the 3yo she’s far more disruptive, needs my full attention as often as possible which is obviously quite hard 🫠

Same same same, no words of advice just solidarity !!!

Mine is like Stitch, a weapon of mass destruction and pure chaos one minute the next a loving, caring angel.

Yes I feel this! Anyone else’s saying why also? Omg 😳 my daughter says why to everything I tell her. I pull my hair out 😆

@Madeleine oh yeah same! The second I leave the room for a wee or something he's getting into trouble!

Threenagers that's the nickname 🤣
